It’s been years since I’ve posted and have moved to a new blog but if I didn’t post about Joey I would never forgive myself.

I can for certain say that my life would be very different if it weren’t for Slipknot. I would have no friends, no confidence, and Slipknot is how I met my boyfriend (2008 Slipknot show).

He was my idol. I picked up drumsticks because of him. I’m not very good but that isn’t the point. Because of Slipknot, my music taste exploded in the metal side of things and I have made tonnes of friends that I would not have had the confidence to do so.

When I was a small child, I had no friends. I was the “weird” kid in primary school who no one wanted to hang around with. When I first heard Slipknot, I decided they’d be my friends. It was 2006. I was 12. They didn’t personally know me and I didn’t personally know them but I felt comfortable when I played their music on repeat day in day out, The music they put out, especially Slipknot, Iowa and Vol 3 was pretty much played on repeat from 2006 until the end of high school, and I still play these favourites today. It helped me get through the day. My peers may have judged me and hated me, but Slipknot didn’t.

I’m not going to lie, I was fucking pissed when Slipknot dismissed him in 2013, and got even more pissed when I dug into it. I hope they all found peace before he passed. My thoughts go to his family and friends. I’m a random person on the internet but also please respect their privacy at this time

Ten. Fucking. Years. Ten years since my first ever concert. Like most people my age, Slipknot got me into metal and was my favourite band when I was a teenager. Had to beg my mum to let me go and it was worth all the begging, even the detention the next day at school! Machine Head were the first band I saw live alongside Slipknot on October 30, 2008. I was 14 years old and did go mainly for Slipknot but was a Machine Head fan that night. Thank you for the memories and your music Machine Head, from me getting bitten in Perth in 2015 and now it’s a hilarious story, the whole Cleveland debacle, and of course this show in July I got this (okayish) photo of Robb Flynn doing what he does best. I need tips on how to remove a nipple piercing. Mine is two and a half years old, has started rejecting, fucking hurts like hell, and when the person pierced it they screwed it on WAAAYYY too tight so I can’t seem to get it off without it hurting? Please help a girl out. And yes I have already tried the shower.

Look what arrived yesterday! Only 11 days from Germany to Perth which is really really quick. I’ve wanted this one on vinyl since I started collecting them in 2013 when Veto came out and it was the second last HSB one I needed. Trying to find an original first pressing of it was impossible but the blue is gorgeous.
